Leading global genomics service company,GENEWIZ, Inc., announced accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP). With this accreditation, the GENEWIZ, Inc. Global Headquarters joined the elite group of internationally recognized facilities that meet the highest standards of excellence in quality laboratory practices.
The CAP accreditation process was comprised of CAP inspector examination of GENEWIZ laboratory safety program and records, staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, and overall management, as well as laboratory records and procedure quality control.
“Receiving CAP accreditation signifies a milestone for GENEWIZ clinical services, ” stated Dr. Guanghui Hu, Vice President of Translational Genomics. “CAP accreditation reaffirms our commitment to providing the highest quality clinical genomic services, including clinically relevant and medically actionable data for physicians, pathologists, and researchers.”
Since its inception in the early 1960’s, the CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program has been recognized by the United States government as being equal-to or more-stringent-than the government’s own inspection program.
